Weirdest Dream lately :
I dreamed I was on the "other side" when my Dad was passing. I spoke to him and made sure he was okay. Then I woke, and knew he was gone. 30 minutes later, we got the call from the hospital saying that his blood pressure had crashed in the last 30 minutes.

Currently working on :
A BTVS related story called "Long Goodbye" which deals with a member of the Watchers Council being vamped as part of an experiment.
Also completing my nanowrimo effort.

Another step in the wrong direction

These are the warning signs... Pay attention
On Sunday, the New York Times reported that at least 20 federal agencies have made and distributed pre-packaged, ready-to-serve television news segments to promote President Bush's policies and initiatives. Congress' Government Accountability Office determined that these "video news releases" were illegal "covert propaganda" and told federal agencies to stop.

Last Friday, the White House ordered all agencies to disregard Congress' directive.

The Bush administration is using hundreds of millions of the public's tax dollars to manipulate public opinion.

I really wish Americans would pay more attention to what is going on. Or one day soon they'll wake up in a Fascist country and wonder "How the hell did that happen?"

Comments:
When a survey reports that over half of high school students think journalists should require government approval for publishing their stories, I've lost all hope in the coming generation.

The biggest problem I have with this is the the shoulder-hiking "eh, not a surprise" coming from many people, including left-wing bloggers. That's like putting a convicted pedophile in charge of a campground, because hey, he's gonna do it anyway, what can we do?

Or like building a playground in the backyard of a paedophile.

"Well, he's rich, and he's going to do it anyway..."

What holz said, plus the number of Americans who tie Saddam to the attack on the WTC is also sad.

Today, a co-worker said to me, and I wish I was kidding, that he thought the U.S. could win a war with China.

The U.S. can't afford for China to stop buying it's debt, never mind the whole land war in Asia issue. It is my hope that the U.S.'s decline only hugely damages the world.

Next thing you know, Bush will be getting into a debate with a Sicilian, when death is on the line.

/too easy?
