Honestly, I agree with you, much as hate the fact that Plame was exposed. Journalistic sources should be protected at all costs, because when the powerful (like Nixon) begin to quash all dissent and scrutiny, and start operating against the law, it becomes too dangerous for people to blow the whistle unless they can be assured of their anonymity.

Woodward and Bernstein would have been jailed for not giving up deep-throat, if this type of justice had been in vogue.
